Family Promise at APC
Family Promise of N. Fulton / DeKalb
APC is a host congregation for Family Promise North Fulton/DeKalb. Four or five weeks each year, our campus serves as a shelter for families with children who are experiencing homelessness.
Our lead volunteers for Family Promise at APC are Tom and Lisa Gould
Summer 2025 Volunteers Needed:
Due to unexpected gaps in Family Promise’s rotational summer schedule, families will stay in the new transitional living house, Homebound Ranch, for five weeks this summer. Extra hands and hearts are needed to make this work–from meal support to volunteering on-site. Please see the links below to learn more and sign up to volunteer. Thank you!
Upcoming host weeks:
August 31-September 6
During our host weeks, APC transforms our campus into a welcoming living space for our Family Promise guests. Meals are provided daily, and our guests are housed in classrooms in the main building.
Guests arrive each evening after work and school, and they leave each morning by 7 am. Guests who are seeking employment receive services at the Family Promise office in Roswell. The staff at FPNFD supports and guides our guests as they navigate the road to stability and transition to their new homes.
Volunteer shifts can be as simple as cooking one dish for each meal, or as involved as spending the night (low-touch during COVID). We have opportunities for any schedule, and if you can’t volunteer, we need lots of donations, too!
Please check the links on these pages to view the volunteer shifts and donation needs for the upcoming weeks. These are updated regularly, typically 3-4 weeks in advance of the host week.
In addition to APC’s needs, Family Promise also appreciates volunteer support and donations. Visit the FPNFD website for more details.
